A bit of history

At the heart of the Goyen Valley situated in Mahalon on Cap Sizun, the Cidrerie De Tromelin is run by the Kan Ar Mor association. This cider brewery is an assisted employment facility for handicapped persons (ESAT, ‘Etablissement et Services d’Aide par le Travail’).

The cider brewery facility was created in 1996.

The goal of the ESAT staff is to offer professional activities and social support for handicapped adults. The workers carry out the production, the bottling and the marketing of cider products under the technical and educational supervision of workplace monitors: Bernard Le Grand, Pierre-Yves Cloarec and Gurvan Guellec.
Year after year, the worker-supervisor team works together to produce quality craft cider that regularly wins awards at competitions. The cider production is PGI certified since 2017 and a conservatory orchard was planted in early 2019.

Don’t miss this unique non-profit cider brewery!
